When shipping from Yiwu by sea you can choose LCL (less than container load) or FCL (full container load). The right choice depends mainly on volume.
LCL: for small orders
LCL is usually best for shipments under about 15 cubic meters. You share a container with other shippers and pay by volume, but transit can be slightly longer.
FCL: for larger orders
Above roughly 15–20 cubic meters, a 20ft container is often cheaper per unit. A 40ft or 40HQ container suits large mixed orders.
Consolidation makes FCL possible
By consolidating goods from many suppliers in a warehouse, small buyers can fill a full container and lower the cost per unit.
